We are Not All the Same
Never forget that every person in a group is different. The differences may arise out of different church traditions, different denominations, or simply different personalities. A word that means one thing to one person may mean something else to another. Some will love the use of incense in prayer whilst others won't. Some will want to pray out loud and others will prefer to be silent. Some will be good with words and others are not. Some will use their imagination without lots of encouragement others not.
No one exercise is likely to be helpful to everybody present. That is a good reason for allowing the leadership of the group to rotate. Then everybody will have the opportunity of offering what they find helpful and of having the validity of that offering affirmed by other people.
